Light Duty Driver

Job DescriptionThe Light Duty Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, materials, and personnel as required. The role ensures compliance with traffic regulations, company policies, and vehicle safety standards while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesTransportation and DeliveryDrive light vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with UAE traffic laws.Transport goods, supplies, equipment, or personnel as assigned.Ensure timely delivery and collection of materials.Plan routes efficiently to meet operational schedules.Vehicle Maintenance and CareConduct daily vehicle inspection before and after trips.Ensure vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance.Monitor fuel levels and report mechanical issues promptly.Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance as required.Documentation and ReportingMaintain accurate delivery logs and trip records.Ensure proper documentation for deliveries and collections.Report accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately.Submit fuel and mileage reports as required.Compliance and SafetyComply with company safety policies and procedures.Follow defensive driving practices.Ensure safe loading and unloading of goods.Adhere to security protocols when transporting materials.Operational SupportAssist in loading and unloading materials when required.Support warehouse or site operations as assigned.Maintain professional conduct when interacting with clients and staff.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Category 3 – Mandatory).Preferred CertificationsDefensive Driving Certification (advantage)Basic First Aid TrainingBasic Health and Safety TrainingExperienceMinimum 2–3 years of driving experience in the UAE.Experience in logistics, catering, facilities management, or similar industry preferred.Skills And CompetenciesGood knowledge of UAE roads and traffic regulationsGood time management and route planning skillsResponsible and safety-conscious attitudeBasic communication skills in EnglishTechnical SkillsAbility to operate light vehicles safelyBasic vehicle maintenance knowledgeAbility to complete delivery documentation accuratelyOther RequirementsValid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Mandatory)Clean driving recordAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends if requiredPhysically fit to assist in loading and unloading when necessaryUAE experience preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
