Librarian

OverviewLibrarian - Al-Rayyan, QatarAs a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books and resources. Your main goal will be to promote a love for reading and learning among the library's patrons. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for literature.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the library's collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and other materialsOrganize materials in an efficient and user-friendly mannerCreate cataloging systems and maintain accurate records of all materialsAssist patrons with finding information and checking out booksPlan and host events such as book clubs, author visits, or educational workshopsStay updated on new releases and popular titles to recommend to patronsEnsure the library is clean, organized, and inviting for all visitorsTrain other staff members on library procedures and systemsRequirementsMinimum of 2 years experience working in a library settingBachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferredExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environmentPassion for literature and promoting reading among all agesExcellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)Knowledge of cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress ClassificationSalary: 1500$ per month (tax-free)Nationality preference: Indian (other nationalities are also welcome to apply)Accommodation: Not provided (candidates should have their own accommodation in Al-Rayyan)Join our team as a Librarian and help us foster a love for reading in our community!#J-18808-Ljbffr
