Librarian

Library AssistantWe are hiring a Library Assistant for our academic library located in Ras-al-Khaimah. This is a contract job with a salary of 1800$ per month, suitable for Indian nationals looking for English speaking jobs. This position does not require any previous experience and does not include accommodation. Candidates must have their own visa to be eligible for this role.Responsibilities:- Assist the Librarian in managing the library and its resources- Organize and maintain library materials, including books, journals, and electronic resources- Help students and faculty with research inquiries and locating materials- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure all materials are accounted for- Process new library acquisitions and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials- Assist with library events and activities, such as book clubs or author talks- Ensure the library is kept clean, tidy, and conducive to studying and researchRequirements:- Indian nationality preferred- Fluent in English- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field is a plus- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team- Good customer service skills- Familiarity with library systems and technologyWorking Hours:This is a full-time position with working hours from Sunday to Thursday, 8 AM - 5 PM.If you are passionate about books, organized, and customer-oriented, we encourage you to apply for this position.
