The role is for an experienced academic with a strong track record in high-quality teaching and service to the University through leadership and management, typically combined with a proven record of impactful research.Job PurposeTo lead and contribute to research, learning and teaching, and knowledge transfer, benefiting students, the School, the University, and the wider community.Main ResponsibilitiesLearning and TeachingDeliver high‑quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate studentsContribute to the design, development, and evaluation of courses and programmes in collaboration with colleagues in Dubai and LondonIdentify and integrate best and innovative practices in learning and teaching into personal teaching methodsEnsure that personal research and subject knowledge inform teaching practicesActively contribute to initiatives that identify, implement, and promote best practices in teaching and learning across the faculty and institutionIntegrate research insights and materials into the curriculumTake lead responsibility for a programme area, subject, or course, as requiredEnhance student experience and outcomesProvide academic advice and support to studentsWork closely with teaching, technical, and administrative staff to ensure a high‑quality teaching and learning environmentResearch and Knowledge TransferPromote the development of the Campus’s research capacity and cultureLead and shape major research projects and/or collaborationsMaintain a strong personal research profile with outputs of high international standingDemonstrate a commitment to creating societal impact through research and knowledge transferSupervise Master’s students in research and dissertation projectsAcademic Leadership and ManagementLead learning and teaching activities in a designated area, such as programme leadershipManage research and knowledge transfer activities, including self‑contained projects or contributions to broader programmesContribute to cross‑Campus activities, including student recruitment, induction, assessment, and national and international partnershipsRepresent colleagues and students on Campus committees, as requiredProvide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to colleaguesManage allocated people and resources effectivelyUndertake additional duties as requiredEssential RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceDoctorate (or equivalent) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems or a related field. PhD Candidates close to completion will be considered.Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniquesProficiency in statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, SAS, or SPSS, and other No Code/Low Code solutionsKnowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib / seaborn in PythonFamiliarity with database querying languages such as SQLKnowledge of digital transformation, automation, and process optimisation in business environmentsProven ability to deliver high‑quality teaching in one or more of the following areas:Business AnalyticsData ScienceStatisticsData VisualizationNatural Language ProcessingBusiness TechnologyDigital TransformationAI, Automation, and Process Optimisatione‑BusinessFamiliarity with different design approaches (e.g. HCI, UX)Evidence of subject competence and a track record of research outputs, normally of high international standing, commensurate with career stageTrack record of innovation in teaching and learning, including curriculum design and promotion of good professional practiceAbility to engage and motivate students and colleagues to perform at their bestProven record of success in undertaking, supervising, and managing research activity, including master’s supervisionDesirable RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceIndustry experience in business analytics, data analysis, or a related fieldExperience applying analytical techniques to real‑world business problemsIndustry experience in business technology, IT management, IT strategy and Policy or a related fieldFamiliarity with analytics applications across various industries, such as marketing, finance, operations, and HRPractical skills in business information systems (e.g. ERP, SCM, CRM) and technologies (e.g. digital twin development, IoT, mobile devices, cloud, edge devices)Track record of attracting research and knowledge transfer fundingExperience supervising doctoral students and leading research projectsPostgraduate Certificate in Higher Education or equivalent teaching qualification#J-18808-Ljbffr
