Job Description
Job PurposeThe Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts within the dairy and pastry categories. This role focuses on driving revenue, strengthening customer relationships, optimizing distribution, and executing commercial strategies across key retail, foodservice, or bakery accounts.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Management & GrowthManage and grow assigned key accounts across dairy and pastry categoriesDevelop strong, long-term relationships with buyers, category managers, and decision-makersLead annual negotiations, pricing discussions, and trade termsIdentify opportunities for range expansion, promotions, and new product listingsSales & Commercial ExecutionDeliver sales targets (volume, value, and margin) for key accountsExecute joint business plans (JBPs) aligned with company objectivesPlan and implement promotions, launches, and seasonal activationsMonitor competitor activity and market trends within dairy and pastryCategory & ForecastingCollaborate with supply chain and demand planning on accurate forecastsEnsure optimal product availability, shelf presence, and stock levelsAnalyze sell-in, sell-out, and performance data to drive decisionsSupport category reviews with insights and recommendationsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations teamsCoordinate new product launches and ensure smooth executionResolve operational or service issues impacting key customersReporting & AnalysisTrack account performance against KPIsPrepare regular sales, forecast, and business review reportsProvide market feedback to support product and pricing strategiesKey Requirements3–6 years of experience in key account management or salesStrong background in dairy, pastry, bakery, or FMCG food categoriesExperience managing modern trade, foodservice, or large bakery accountsProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsStrong negotiation and relationship-management skillsCommercial mindset with solid analytical abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and prioritiesComfortable working cross-functionally#J-18808-Ljbffr
