Junior Sommelier

The Junior Sommelier oversees the outlets bar operations and other bartenders work to ensure that they provide positive customer experience. He/She ensures the smooth running of the bar. He/She should also be skilled in serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to restaurant and bar patrons. He/She may serve beer and wine make classic drinks or create new recipes for cocktails.Support the ordering and receiving of wine deliveries.ResponsibilitiesProvide wine recommendations and pairings to guests based on their preferences and menu choices.Serve wine and beverages professionally following proper service techniques.Maintain knowledge of the wine list including wine regions vintages varietals and producers.Assist with wine inventory stock rotation and cellar organization.Participate in regular wine tastings and training sessions.Proper storage handling and presentation of all wines.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wine cellar and service areas.Stay updated on industry trends and emerging wine producers or regions.Uphold excellent guest service standards and contribute to the overall dining experience.Promote continuous development and refinement of cocktails offered at the outlets.Implement effective cost control practices.Manage POS (Micros) buttons and pricing.Track and maintain the cocktail menu across all outlets.Maintain a comprehensive database of standard drink recipes.Set and enforce quality and quantity standards for drinks.Conduct regular quality assurance audits across all outlets.Lead new beverage promotions and contribute creative ideas to ensure their success.Apply knowledge and continual learning to the purchase storage and control of bar items.Perform opening and closing duties.Oversee glassware cleaning storage and conduct weekly inventory.Support all aspects of guest service and uphold core standards.Ensure the bar area maintains a positive visual appeal including ambiance cleanliness.Maintain a preventive cleaning and maintenance program for glassware and wine service equipment.Monitor and manage operating supplies reporting any maintenance needs.Qualifications :2 years restaurant and/or luxury wineexperienceExcellent knowledge of wines spirits and mixed drinksStrong commitment to serviceWSET Level 2 (or equivalent) or a strong interest in pursuing wine education.Multilingual skills are a plus in international or luxury environmentsAdditional Information :Relocate to remote areaRemote Work :NoEmployment Type :Full-time#J-18808-Ljbffr
