IT Security Specialist

Job SummaryDevelop and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures and protocols.Create and implement data protection and recovery plans.Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA).Monitor systems, servers and networks for security threats and anomalies.Respond to data breaches, malware attacks and other security incidents.Conduct forensic analysis and maintain incident response plans.Perform regular risk assessments, penetration testing and security audits.Identify, report and remediate system vulnerabilities.Manage and update security infrastructure including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus and endpoint protection.Train employees on security best practices and conduct awareness programs.Simulate data loss scenarios to test recovery plans and organizational readiness.Prepare compliance reports and maintain documentation.Collaborate with internal teams to improve security posture.Continuously evaluate and upgrade security measures and protocols.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field.5-7 years of experience in IT security roles.Strong knowledge of network security, encryption and access control.Experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners and compliance frameworks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
