And that’s where you come in.Job DescriptionHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Interface Expert System. The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry, managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. This position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Main AccountabilityManages or performs engineering work related to the planning, design, installation, and structural reliability of rail system projects.1. System Interface Identification & ManagementIdentify, define, and manage rail systems internal and external interfaces, including interfaces with civil works contractors, operators, maintainers, utilities, and third parties.Support the development and maintenance of the Interface Register, Interface Matrix, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for system‑related interfaces.Ensure interfaces are tracked, coordinated, and formally closed in line with project milestones.2. Technical Coordination & Data ExchangeAct as a technical focal point for system interface matters with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.Coordinate receipt, review, and consolidation of technical interface data from subsystem design leads, contractors, and operators.Support interface resolution related to design development, construction constraints, and system integration requirements.3. Interface Meetings & ReportingParticipate in and support interface coordination meetings, workshops, and technical reviews.Prepare and contribute to interface progress reports, action lists, and issue logs for system interfaces.Escalate critical or unresolved interface issues to the Interface & Integration Manager.4. Support to Integration, Testing & CommissioningSupport interface activities related to Testing & Commissioning, including FAT, SAT, SIT, and integrated system tests where interfaces are involved.Ensure system interfaces are aligned with operational, safety, and performance requirements during integration and validation phases.5. Change, Risk & Compliance SupportSupport assessment of interface‑related changes and their impact on design, schedule, and system performance.Assist in identifying and managing interface risks, supporting mitigation actions where required.Ensure interface activities comply with the Interface & Integration Management Plan, contract requirements, and applicable standards.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
