We are seeking a technical professional interested in joining an elite team and learning the skills necessary to build and scale one of the world\'s largest information system infrastructures. We are expanding our infrastructure team and are looking for a Network Technician.You will be part of the Infrastructure Delivery (ID) team, delivering AWS installation and deployments in AWS Cloud regions. You will work closely with internal customers, external vendors, and coordinate regional resources to facilitate smooth project execution in collaboration with Technical Program Managers.AWS is committed to contributing towards the UAE’s goal of employing 75,000 Emiratis in the private sector and Ministerial Resolution No.279.Key job responsibilitiesDeliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with continuous improvement in mind.Work closely with Capacity Engineering & Technical Program Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of new designs and products.Install, configure and support Data Center equipment including racks, routers, servers, switches using provisioning portals.Lead network and committee projects & collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to remove project obstacles.Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow.Install and patch network cabling of various types and lengths while demonstrating knowledge of fiber optic and network cabling, labeling, and AWS standards.Handle heavy equipment (move and lift computer equipment up to 50lbs).Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures. Diagnose hardware and network problems followed by basic replacement of damaged or faulty equipment and devices.A day in the lifeA day in the life of an ID Install Technician is exciting and varies with a range of responsibilities, including patching fibre connections and troubleshooting link issues using internal applications, especially when spanning across separate data centers in different regions.We also handle hardware installation in racks, device configuration and upgrades, and execute scripts. Collaboration with multiple teams is crucial while working on projects as we maintain regular progress updates.
