IBM Linux ONE Administrator

<div><p>Our client, one of leading technology companies is looking for:</p><h3>Purpose</h3><p>The IBM Linux ONE Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise Linux environments running on IBM Linux ONE platforms. The role involves administration of Linux systems, virtualization environments, security management, system performance tuning, and ensuring high availability of mission-critical workloads.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on IBM LinuxONE servers.</li><li>Manage Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), and Ubuntu.</li><li>Administer virtualization environments using z/VM and KVM on IBM LinuxONE; Create and manage LPARs, virtual machines, and resource allocations.</li><li>Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning; Implement and maintain system security policies, patching, and vulnerability remediation.</li><li>Manage user accounts, permissions, file systems, and storage allocations; Configure and maintain network services, firewall rules, and connectivity.</li><li>Support enterprise storage integration (SAN/NAS); Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery procedures.</li><li>Automate administrative tasks using Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible; Troubleshoot Linux system issues and provide Level 2 / Level 3 technical support.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Strong experience in Linux system administration; Knowledge of IBM LinuxONE or IBM Z platform architecture.</li><li>Experience with z/VM virtualization or KVM environments; Understanding of LPAR configuration and resource management.</li><li>Experience with Linux networking, firewall configuration, and security hardening; Familiarity with storage management, SAN connectivity, and file systems.</li><li>Proficiency in Bash / Shell scripting and automation tools; Experience with monitoring tools and system performance tuning.</li><li>Preferred Certifications: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA); Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE); IBM LinuxONE / IBM Z Administration Certification; Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
