Job Description

The Human Resources & Governance Officer supports the Company’s people governance framework, ensuring effective recruitment administration, staff records, training, and fit and proper documentation in line with VARA regulatory expectations.The role ensures accurate HR record keeping, clear role definitions, controlled onboarding and off-boarding processes, and proper tracking of training, attestations, and staff governance requirements.ResponsibilitiesSupport recruitment and onboarding administration, including documentation, references, and pre-employment checksMaintain accurate staff records, including employment files, training records, and declarationsCoordinate fit and proper documentation (CVs, references, background checks, qualifications)Maintain job descriptions, organisational charts, and reporting lines to support role clarity and segregation of dutiesTrack mandatory training and staff attestations (e.g. compliance, AML/CFT, conduct, information security)Manage joiner, mover, and leaver processes, including access updates and documentationSupport staff conduct declarations, conflicts of interest, and policy attestationsMaintain HR governance trackers and support reporting for management and Board updatesSupport employee relations matters, including recordkeeping for grievances and disciplinary actionsMaintain records for compensation approvals and HR governance processesSupport audits, regulatory inspections, and licence reviews with accurate HR documentationEnsure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee informationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or related fieldProfessional HR or governance qualification preferred5+ years of experience in HR operations, governance administration, or employee records management#J-18808-Ljbffr
