High School English Teacher

Teach English literature composition grammar and vocabulary to students in grades 912. Foster a classroom environment that encourages participation creativity and academic achievement. Assess student progress regularly through assignments tests presentations and class participation. Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate academic progress with parents/guardians. Prepare students for standardized tests and college readiness assessments. Incorporate technology and diverse teaching methods to enhance learning. Participate in faculty meetings professional development sessions and school events. Maintain accurate records of student attendance grades and performance. Uphold school policies discipline and ethical guidelines. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in English Education or a related field (Masters preferred). Valid state teaching certification/license for secondary English. Proven experience teaching high school English (minimum 2 years preferred). Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment. Familiarity with digital learning platforms and modern educational tools is a plus. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of diverse literary texts and current pedagogical practices.
