Head of local purchasing

Should be based in Qatar with Experience in Qatar.Responsible for ongoing management of local purchasingstrategy and activity and for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price.Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function isoperating in line with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigatesupply risk and deliver cost savings. Develop and maintain strategic supplierrelationships and manage the development of contracts, contractualrelationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement indelivery of goods and services by the supply base. Lead and manage a team of Procurement Officers to deliver the appropriate support to the business toensure corporate and business development objectives are met.Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline; experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies, processes and systemsMinimum of 10 years of experience in contracts administration, with a strong focus on procurement and vendor management.Experience working in a holding company or a multi-sector corporate environment.Sound knowledge of procurement practices, and risk management.Proficient in ERP systems and contract management tools; strong MS Excel and document control skills.
