EducationBachelor's degree in special education + 2 years of experience as an Inclusion Teacher.Bachelor's degree in a related subject + CPD course as per ADEK Inclusion Policy.Experience3 years of experience as an Inclusion Teacher or any other inclusion-related senior leader in a school.CompetenciesExpert knowledge of SEN and G&T quality provision and curriculum.Knowledge of international accreditation.Inspection and evaluation frameworks.Excellent communication skills in spoken and written form.Educational leader and outstanding teacher.Sound decision making, solutions focused.Knowledge of child protection and health and safety.Experience in developing and/or sustaining high performance teams.Highly effective relationship management with a variety of stakeholders.Primary Purpose of JobThe Head of Student Support is responsible for the coordination, liaison, and management of the student support provision across the school. This specifically relates to ensuring appropriate provision for students identified as needing SEN and Gifted and Talented support, counselling, external support services and safeguarding.
