Job Description

ResponsibilitiesEnsure the day to day operation is smooth in the restaurantAssist the leadership team of the restaurant in achieving high guest satisfactionGuide and lead the server in the restaurantPerform the duties of Manager on a regular basisMaximize sales potential and encourage upselling in order to maximize ratesEnsure cash floats are secured at all timesWork within budgeted costsMinimize abuse of operating equipmentEnsure that requisitions for supplies are completed, delivered and accounted forMinimize the use of overtimeEnsure that there is enough operating equipment at all timesRecord all voids and report any payment discrepancies to the Restaurant ManagerFollow company procedures when handling cash, credit cards and chequesSee guests concerning all complaints and report all complaints to the ManagerLiaise with colleagues over guests' requirements and needsEnsure handover at shift end and beginningLiaise with the Head Chef on a regular basisLiaise with Reception on a regular basisGain customer feedback at all timesComplete a full report of the day's events in the Management Report BookCreate and maintain a personal and respectful rapport with regular guestsMaintain a high customer profile and handle promptly and courteously all guest comments, questions, complaints, requests and enquiries, taking the necessary action steps and ensuring thorough follow‑throughFamiliarize yourself with guests' needs and requirements in order to ensure an efficient and friendly serviceFanatical focus on quality and consistency in all areas: food and beverage quality, guest service, cleanliness, etc.Support all other revenue centres in the hotel such as Rooms and EventsBe results driven and totally accountableAttend daily business review meetings, weekly strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/requestedUndertake regular inspections to ensure that the company's assets are well maintained and protectedEnsure that the business is seen as a respected, important member of the community by local influencersCarry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requestedQualificationsMinimum 2 (two) years management experience in Restaurants and BarsOne to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotelEnter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systemsPossess a gracious, friendly and fun demeanorAbility to multitask work in a fast‑paced environment and have a high level of attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMaintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departmentsAbility to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamworkRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFull‑time#J-18808-Ljbffr
