Fleet Maintenance Executive

Job PurposeThe Fleet Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and availability of the company’s fleet. This role focuses on minimizing vehicle downtime by coordinating repairs, managing vendors, and maintaining accurate service records. By ensuring the fleet is efficiently maintained, the position supports operational excellence, enhances customer satisfaction, and strengthens the company’s overall reputation.Duties and Responsibilities of this positionConduct periodic inspections of vehicles for damages, tire conditions, and overall performance.Plan and schedule regular vehicle maintenance to minimize breakdowns.Coordinate with garages, workshops, and service centers for repairs and servicing.Prepare and maintain police reports and accident records.Liaise with insurance companies for claims, total loss cases, and settlements.Maintain complete records of vehicle history, service schedules, and maintenance costs.Manage relationships with vendor panels, garages, and spare parts suppliers.Negotiate cost‑effective maintenance agreements and ensure quality service.Monitor fleet tracking systems, mileage, and vehicle utilization.Track and report KPIs including downtime, maintenance costs, and fleet availability.Manage fleet‑related budgets and petty cash disbursements.Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Recovery teams to ensure smooth operations.Supervise and guide drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.Training sessionsConduct periodic training sessions on vehicle care, damage reporting, and operational protocols.Skills required to fulfill the positionStrong knowledge of fleet operations and maintenance processesBasic technical understanding of vehicle mechanics and diagnosticsAbility to coordinate with workshops, garages, and service centersGood negotiation skills for cost‑effective maintenance and repairsProblem‑solving and decision‑making abilitiesFamiliarity with RTA regulations and insurance claim proceduresProficiency in using fleet tracking and monitoring systemsAbility to manage budgets and control maintenance costsLeadership skills to supervise drivers and support staffStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood reporting and record‑keeping abilitiesEffective time management and multitasking skillsPosition Qualifications (Academic & Professional)Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred)1 to 2 years of experience in car rental operations or fleet managementTechnical background as a mechanic or automotive technician is an added advantageKnowledge of UAE traffic regulations, RTA policies, and insurance proceduresProficiency in fleet tracking systems and vehicle monitoring tools (preferred)Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Valid UAE driving license#J-18808-Ljbffr
