This role, joining our Finance Team as a Finance Controller, will empower you to deliver exceptional experiences across our award-winning lifestyle destinations.What We’re Looking ForProfessionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 7–10 years’ experience in Finance roles within real estate, development, or construction-led environments.Demonstrates a proven track record managing financial control, reporting and governance across property development, real estate investment or contracting operations.Applies strong technical knowledge of IFRS, particularly in relation to real estate assets and construction contracts.Advanced capability in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management for real estate and development activities.Hands-on experience in contract accounting, cost control and project-based financial management, supported by strong Microsoft Excel and financial systems skills.Operates with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail, working confidently with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in fast-paced, commercially driven and deadline-driven environments.Strong understanding of industry regulations is beneficial.Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.A proactive nature, with a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of the operation is curated to perfection.A hands-on attitude, fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.Key ResponsibilitiesOversees and directs all aspects of the Finance and Accounting Department at FIVE, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.Leads the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness.Maintains robust financial control and governance across real estate, development and operating entities within the Group's portfolio.Safeguards balance sheet integrity, including property assets, work in progress, accruals, provisions and capital commitments.Develops and enforces internal controls, financial policies and procedures in line with FIVE's real estate and construction-related activities.Oversees financial reporting for property acquisitions, disposals, leasing arrangements and ongoing asset management activities.Manages budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning for real estate portfolios, hotel developments and refurbishment projects.Analyses project feasibility, ROI and IRR, investment returns and cost performance to support capital allocation and investment decisions.Monitors capital expenditure against approved budgets, funding structures and timelines, providing clear variance analysis.Exercises financial control over construction and development contracts, including payment certifications, variations, retentions and final accounts.Ensures accurate contract accounting aligned with commercial terms, project milestones and applicable accounting standards.Partners with legal, procurement and project teams to assess contractual risk, financial exposure, funding implications and cost impacts across development and construction contracts.Reviews contractor claims, payment applications and disputes, providing sound financial analysis and recommendations.Acts as a Finance Partner to Development, Real Estate, Procurement and Legal Stakeholders, providing clear commercial guidance.Supports senior leadership by ensuring high-quality financial reporting, analysis and decision-making support.Liaises with external auditors, advisers, banks and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and compliance.Ensures compliance with Statutory, Regulatory and Tax requirements, including oversight of property- and construction-related tax exposures, relevant to the Group’s real estate and construction activities.Leads audit processes relating to Property, Development and Contract Accounting, ensuring timely resolution of findings.Maintains disciplined governance over contract approvals, financial authorisations, and reporting standards.The Team‘FIVERs’ are cultured yet chic, confident yet self-effacing, and work hard to play even harder.
