Hotel Brand: Crowne Plaza Hotels & ResortsLocation: Saudi Arabia, RiyadhJob Title:Financial AccountantDepartment:Finance & Business SupportReports To:Finance & Business Support Manager/DirectorWHAT’S THE JOB?Under the general direction of the Director of Finance & Business Support, the Financial Accountant assists in managing the hotel’s accounting operations and financial controls. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports budgeting and forecasting activities, maintains accounting records, and ensures compliance with financial policies and procedures.YOUR DAY-TO-DAYPrepare and record journal entries for daily and month-end transactions.Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and distribute reports to management.Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.Prepare invoices and maintain accurate records for intercompany transactions and other charges.Monitor and control cash flow activities, including payments, deposits, and collections.Review and approve payment requests, petty cash, and employee advances when required.Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis reports.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control.Ensure all accounting records are accurate and maintained according to company policies.Assist in audit preparation and provide supporting documentation when required.Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.Support the Director of Finance in implementing financial strategies and procedures.Supervise accounting operations in the absence of senior finance team members when required.WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUMinimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.Experience with accounting systems and financial software.Good analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes.HOW DO I DELIVER THIS?Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all financial records.Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in handling financial data.Support teamwork and effective communication across departments.Ensure timely completion of assigned accounting tasks.Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.Don't quite meet every single requirement, but still believe you'd be a great fit for the job?
