Job Description

Our client is a leading construction company with an excellent reputation across the region.We are looking for an experienced Estimation Manager to be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.As the Chief Estimator you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating complete estimates across their core business units that include civil, mechanical and electrical.Reporting to: CEOMajor ResponsibilitiesReview proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimateSelect vendors and/or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of projects to be bid.Perform Risk and Contract Management responsibilities as requiredPrepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of workConsult with clients, vendors and other stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve ant potential issuesReview design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality or availability of materialsReview final estimate and apply strategic cost factors where necessaryMonitor client changes and advise the estimating team of all changes in scope during the estimate periodFollow awarded contracts as assigned – may include estimating extra work items, change orders, creditsSearch, analyze and communicate to the team options for the most effective means and methods of constructionPrepare bids, select vendors and/or subcontractors and determine cost effectiveness of projects to be bidTo arrange internal kick-off meetings.To ensure internal contract review meetings.To be responsible for all technical and commercial amendments, discussions and negotiations arising from the submission of a tender throughout the process right up to the order placement.To maintain the integrity and professional image of CompanyTo coordinate with suppliers and assist in the improvement and development of company’s tendering systems, procedures and databases.To ensure working as both an individual and within a team to prepare and submit tenders to strict deadlines.To comply by the quality and health & safety policies of the companyAny other task assigned by the Management.Skills / CompetencyHRIS / ITMS OfficeTraining SkillsCommunication SkillsProblem Solving SkillsEmployee RelationsFamiliarity with Labor LawsProficiency in Written and spoken skills in EnglishProficiency in Arabic languageDecision makingLeadershipKnowledge of construction industryESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSBachelors / Masters of Civil Engineering or Architecture or any related fieldPMP, Tendering Management Certification is desirableAt least 10 years’ experience in comparable roleAble to work under pressure with client, good client relations – in Arabic & EnglishMust have experience in HRIS / IT, MS OfficeMust be proficient in Written and spoken skills in EnglishThis is very urgent so must be available to start immediatelyOpen for any Arab nationals in Saudi nowMust have experience in Healthcare / Hospital / Medical Construction Projects are essentialCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSSalary will depend on experience and interview performanceAs a guide it will be from 22k – 25k SAR per month#J-18808-Ljbffr
