Engineering Mason

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Mason to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As an Engineering Mason you will play a crucial role in executing complex masonry work on large-scale construction projects ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.Interpret and work from blueprints drawings and specifications to construct masonry structuresSelect cut and shape various materials including brick concrete blocks and natural stoneMix and apply mortar grout and other bonding materialsEnsure proper alignment level and plumb of masonry workCollaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate project timelines and workflowsAdhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean organized work environmentTroubleshoot and resolve masonry-related issues on-siteMentor and guide junior masons and apprenticesStay updated on local building codes and sustainable construction practicesQualifications : High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in masonry or a related field preferred3-5 years of experience in masonry work with a focus on large-scale construction projectsProficiency in various masonry techniques and materialsStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExcellent mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculationsPhysical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks throughout the workdayAdvanced problem-solving abilities to address on-site challenges efficientlyEffective time management and organizational skillsStrong communication skills to collaborate with team members and other tradesKnowledge of construction safety practices; OSHA safety certification preferredFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu DhabiUnderstanding of sustainable construction practicesAbility to work in diverse weather conditions and at heightsWillingness to continuously learn and adapt to new masonry techniques and materialsAdditional Information : Your team and working environment:Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is a unique resort; where exclusivity and luxury define every experience every time.
