Electrical Construction EngineerJob DescriptionJob ScopePlan, execute, monitor, coordinate, procure, install, carry out pre‑commissioning, hand‑over, commissioning and start‑up all electrical construction works across the organization in liaison with the project management team for a wide range of electrical equipment (control panels, VSD, power distribution systems, MV/LV switch‑gears, electric motors, transformers, etc.) in various plants/sites, acting as a key focal point for all electrical engineering aspects for contractors/consultants and monitoring the work to facilitate successful completion of projects as per defined parameters, industry best practices and contractual agreements.DutiesSupervise and coordinate the construction and pre‑commissioning phase of major and minor projects executed by annual and EPC contractors.Supervise contractors’ work to ensure implementation of specified scope with lower cost, high quality, and meeting client standards and procedures.Review modification approval drawings/documents, confirm with circuit control, single line diagram, etc., and conduct site verification for construction deficiencies and approval.Liaise with concerned departments for timely availability of materials; prepare requisitions to issue client warehouse materials and procure from local suppliers when shortages occur.Arrange various types of work permits; explain hazards; prepare Job Safety Analysis and Method Statements for electrical activities; confirm works are done safely and follow client standards.Prepare inspection and test plans and conduct all types and shop tests.Propose field design changes during the construction phase and obtain approval from engineering section.Prepare punch list and confirm works are performed as per engineering study.Liaise with Production Department and other disciplines to facilitate pre‑commissioning and commissioning, and hand over to production.After completion‑built documents and issue the close‑out report.Monitor project detail planning, status, and progress to avoid overruns or increased costs.Attend meetings with different departments and sections to ensure timely communication of issues and minimize interface disconnect.Conduct meetings, either internally or externally with contractors, during project execution.Check and certify contractor invoices as per contract terms and conditions.Perform other administrative tasks, observe fire and safety regulations, enforce safety rules, and maintain quality in all works carried out at the plant.Health, Safety, Security, Environment and QualityEnsure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security, environmental and quality management procedures.Work closely with HSSE on related tasks.Update documentation related to modifications.Participate in risk assessment studies such as HAZOP.ReportsProvide regular progress reports related to assigned modifications.Prepare specific reports upon request.Internal and External CommunicationsInternal: Project team, Requester (project owner), Inventory, Procurement and other relevant parties.External: Contractors, Vendors/Suppliers, Consultants and Service Providers.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.ExperienceMinimum 8 years for engineers and 12 years for senior engineers in construction with 3–8 years of supervisory/team leadership responsibilities and exposure to project and contractor management.SkillsGood spoken and written English.Knowledge of electrical engineering.Knowledge of downtime analysis and problem‑solving tools.Knowledge of construction in oil/gas/petrochemical plants.Health, Safety, and Security Management skills.Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills.Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.Strong interpersonal, relationship building, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
