Lifting / Rigging Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lifting / Rigging Engineer to support project site operations in Qatar. The role is responsible for planning, reviewing, and supervising safe and efficient lifting and rigging activities in full compliance with project requirements, Qatar Energy, and RLIC standards. Role Summary Plan, review, and approve lifting studies, lifting plans, and rigging procedures Supervise and monitor lifting and rigging operations to ensure safe execution Ensure compliance with Qatar Energy, RLIC, and project HSE standards Coordinate with construction, engineering, and site teams during lifting activities Support brownfield project operations, including complex and critical lifts Review drawings, calculations, and lifting analyses prior to execution Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 10 years of experience in lifting & rigging engineering (Oil & Gas project experience preferred) Strong knowledge of Qatar Energy and RLIC standards Proven experience in brownfield projects Proficiency in AutoCAD and lifting analysis software/tools Strong understanding of heavy lifting equipment, cranes, and rigging methods Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory Skills Lifting & Rigging Engineering Lifting Plans & Studies Rigging Operations
