Director of Finance & Business Support

Bottom line? We’re looking for a new Director of Finance and Accounting comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. In return, we’ll put our financial operations and the security of our hotel assets in your expert hands.Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:ResponsibilitiesManaging and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right taskSetting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures remain ethical and legalMaximising financial returns through financial analysis, data trends and market information – while budgeting accordinglyEnhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolutionSupervising a number of clerical accounting employees across a range of functions – from Accounts Payable to Purchasing and Payroll.QualificationsBachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance4-8 years’ experience in hotel accounting or auditing with at least one year in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienceKnowledge of accounting management duties e.g., negotiating hotel space and tenant leases, processing payroll, performing asset management duties, providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etcProfessional accounting or finance designation or certification preferredMust speak local language(s)Other languages beneficialBenefitsWe give our people everything they need to succeed.
