As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead and transform their fleet engineering function across the region.</p><p>This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape engineering strategy, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in supporting significant regional growth.</p><h3>The Opportunity</h3><p>Based in Saudi Arabia, you will take full ownership of the company’s engineering and fleet strategy across multiple GCC markets. You will be responsible for optimising asset performance, leading large-scale investment programmes, and ensuring best-in‑class maintenance and reliability standards across a diverse fleet.</p><p>This role offers significant executive exposure, long‑term career progression, and the chance to contribute to major infrastructure and development projects across the Middle East.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><h3>Strategic&Financial Leadership</h3><ul><li>Define and deliver the regional engineering strategy aligned with business growth objectives</li><li>Lead CAPEX planning, fleet investment, and lifecycle optimisation programmes</li><li>Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on fleet performance, renewal, and cost efficiency</li><li>Drive data‑led decision making through KPI monitoring, utilisation analysis, and cost control</li></ul><h3>Fleet&Asset Management</h3><ul><li>Oversee fleet operations across multiple GCC locations, ensuring consistency and best practice</li><li>Manage full asset lifecycle from specification and procurement through to disposal</li><li>Implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies to maximise uptime</li><li>Leverage telematics and digital systems to enhance visibility and performance</li></ul><h3>Maintenance&Reliability</h3><ul><li>Lead all maintenance, inspection, and compliance programmes across the fleet</li><li>Drive reliability‑centred maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Optimise parts supply chains, vendor relationships, and maintenance contracts</li><li>Support sustainability initiatives including emissions reduction and energy‑efficient technologies</li></ul><h3>Leadership&Organisational Development</h3><ul><li>Lead and develop a high‑performing, multi‑national engineering team</li><li>Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement</li><li>Partner with Operations and HR on workforce planning and capability development</li></ul><h3>Budget&Performance Management</h3><ul><li>Manage engineering budgets and capital investment across the region</li><li>Identify cost efficiencies through innovation, procurement, and process optimisation</li><li>Report on operational and financial performance to executive leadership</li></ul><h3>Safety, Quality&Compliance</h3><ul><li>Champion a safety‑first culture across all engineering activities</li><li>Ensure full compliance with regional HSE and regulatory standards</li><li>Lead audits, investigations, and continuous improvement programmes</li></ul><h3>Candidate Profile</h3><ul><li>Minimum 8 years’ leadership experience within fleet, plant, or equipment engineering (powered access experience essential)</li><li>Strong technical expertise across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems</li><li>Proven track record managing large-scale CAPEX programmes and engineering budgets</li><li>Experience with telematics, digital fleet management, and asset optimisation tools</li><li>Prior experience in the GCC or emerging markets is advantageous but not essential</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
