Title:Design Manager (Villa) - Aldar FWDesign Manager (Villa)LOCATIONAbu Dhabi UAETHE ROLEReporting directly to the Senior Design Manager the Design Manager will be required to provide input to the senior management on design delivery related matters and be fully responsible for the successful delivery of their assigned services and/or project component for the duration of the Services. The Design Manager will work in coordination with the project management team to ensure the projects design stage objectives are met.project descriptionAs a member of our Project Management Consultant (PMC) team youll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabis growth. This includes developing essential infrastructure like transportation networks and utilities alongside public spaces that improve connectivity throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Youll also play a role in shaping thriving communities by managing the development of residential housing short this PMC role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Abu Dhabis built environment.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESManage all aspects of the Villa and infrastructure design production process by managing numerous Consultants and Contractors to ensure the overall design is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of programs strategic objectivesParticipate in establishing practices templates policies tools and partnerships to manage the design and its approval across the project stakeholdersAssist in the preparation of a detailed project plan as part of the Project Management Plan for the asset or infrastructure design phases of the programManage the day-to-day Villa and infrastructure design monitoring activities and resources and actively participate in the design team meetingsProvide technical input day-to-day Villa and infrastructure design activities and actively participate and chair in the design team meetings.Carry out design review and provide comments for resolution.Ensure that all Villa and infrastructure design related project KPIs targets directions and instructions are communicated to all relevant project stakeholders in a clear and timely mannerProvide status reporting regarding infrastructure design milestones deliverable dependencies risks and issues communicating across leadershipParticipate and/or drive feasibility studies vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholdersAct as an internal quality control check for the infrastructure design documentationEnsure the design process recognizes current UAE legislation standards and codes of practice where appropriateEnsure that designs are proceeding according to scope schedule budget and quality standardsManage design issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline programExtensive understanding of project and program management principles methods and techniquesManage technical issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline programResolve technical challenges by finding innovative solutions whilst controlling the costsManaging technical changes to the project scope in alignment with the established change management proceduresCapture and share lessons learned to improve projects across the portfolioEffectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders within the project team the Client organisation and across other projectsEXPERIENCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEBSc engineering architecture or equivalentDesign of Villa and infrastructure projects within a Consulting environment.Minimum of 15 years overall experienceMinimum of 5 years experience in a similar roleMinimum of 5 years working in Middle EastThorough understanding of authority regulationsAbility to interrogate load demand calculations.Excellent report writing and communication skillsProficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD and other industry standard software as applicable to roleExhibit exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholdersA high standard of spoken and written English Arabic speaking advantageous.COMPETENCIESLeadershipProactiveEnergeticMotivatedDynamicInterpersonal and communication skillsAccepts responsibilityPlanning & organisingHSE AwarenessRequired Experience:Manager Key Skills Haskell,Construction Experience,Management Experience,Autodesk,Design Thinking,Library Services,Drafting,Project Management,Relationship Management,Adobe Photoshop,Autocad,Child Protective Services Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
