Design Lead

Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead interior design concepts from early vision through execution. This role is conceptual, client-facing, and execution-oriented, with responsibility for guiding design direction, managing stakeholders, and ensuring design intent is delivered on site.Hands-on CAD/Revit drafting is not a core requirement; technical documentation is produced by the design support team.Key Responsibilities1 - Design & Concept LeadershipDevelop and own interior design concepts, narratives, and overall design directionTranslate client briefs into strong, commercially viable design solutionsDefine material palettes, finishes, FF&E, lighting, and spatial experienceEnsure consistency of design quality across all project stages2 - Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary design point of contact for clientsLead design presentations, workshops, and approval processesConfidently articulate design rationale, value engineering options, and alternativesCoordinate with consultants, suppliers, and external partners3 - Team Leadership & CoordinationGuide and mentor junior designers and CAD/Revit teamsReview drawings and technical outputs to ensure alignment with design intentProvide clear design direction and feedback throughout the project lifecycle4 - Project Execution & Site InvolvementOversee design development through to construction and handoverConduct site visits, design coordination meetings, and snagging reviewsResolve design issues on site in collaboration with contractors and consultantsEnsure final execution meets approved design standards, timelines, and budgets5 - FF&E & Vendor CoordinationLead FF&E selection, specifications, and procurement supportLiaise with suppliers, review samples, mockups, and shop drawingsSupport cost control and value engineering where requiredExperience & Background8 – 12+ years of experience in interior design, with senior or lead-level responsibilityProven experience leading projects in hospitality / commercial / residential / retailStrong portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength and executed projectsExperience managing teams and working with technical/drafting supportSkills & CompetenciesStrong design sensibility, spatial awareness, and material knowledgeExcellent client communication and presentation skillsDeep understanding of construction, detailing, and site executionAbility to lead without being hands-on in CAD/RevitOrganized, decisive, and confident in managing multiple stakeholders#J-18808-Ljbffr
