OverviewAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global data centers and related infrastructure (servers storage networking power and cooling). We support all AWS data centers to ensure customers have continual access to AWS services. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, collaborating to deliver high safety and security standards while providing scalable capacity at a low cost.Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to join our expanding Data Centers (DC) Cloud regions. The Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. As an Engineering Operations Engineer you will operate and maintain AWS DCs world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure, following processoriented practices, and oversee facility operations to ensure safety procedures are implemented. Your work will help maintain availability for customers and ensure the upkeep and operation of the DC technical infrastructure.Key responsibilitiesSAFETY: Follow and maintain the highest safety standards; encourage a world-class safety culture. Own safety initiatives and projects and remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams.ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE: Support electrical and mechanical equipment including UPSs, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATSs, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Exhaust Fans, VFDs, and Transformers.
