The role involves cost control contract administration and providing commercial advice to ensure project financial objectives are met.What your day-to-day will look likeLead the post-contract commercial management of multiple construction projects ensuring they are delivered within budgetPrepare and manage interim valuations variations and final accountsAnalyze and negotiate contractual claims providing recommendations to minimize financial riskPerform detailed cost analysis and reporting tracking project costs against budgetsAdminister construction contracts in accordance with applicable standards (JCT NEC FIDIC etc.)Liaise with clients contractors and project stakeholders to resolve commercial issuesProvide commercial advice to project teams and senior managementMentor and support junior quantity surveyorsIdentify and implement value engineering opportunitiesMaintain accurate records of all commercial transactions and correspondenceRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management or related fieldProfessional membership with RICS or equivalent professional bodyMinimum 7 years post-qualification experience with significant post-contract exposure ideally in hospitality projectsComprehensive knowledge of standard forms of construction contractsExperience in managing complex variations and claimsStrong negotiation and dispute resolution skillsDesired or preferred experience and technical skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong financial and commercial acumenProficient in construction measurement and cost control softwareEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDetail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracySelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamLocationOn-site Dubai AREIf this job description resonates with you we encourage you to apply even if you dont meet all of the requirements.
