General Purpose Of The JobThe Construction Management Associate is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in all aspects associated with a construction-related project. This includes General Contracting projects, larger-scale Contracting Patch and Repair Projects, TremCares, etc. The role involves working with the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, or WTI Technician assigned to the project to ensure the project is effectively executed, completed safely, and all contractual obligations are adhered to. Additional duties include participating in onsite meetings, scope of work development, proposal review, specification review, completion of project schedules, assembling project submittals, obtaining building permits, project closeout documents, and other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesContribute to and validate proposals and specifications.Develop specifications during the conceptual phase, establishing milestone dates.Participate in program planning and design phases.Assist in proposal preparation and review.Support construction phase activities and conduct pre‑construction meetings.Oversee effective close‑out of projects.Produce cost estimates and schedules.Utilize ebuilder for all project documentation per policy manual.Track project costs, budget variances, and profitability.Ensure quality assurance compliance.Verify subcontractor submission of required documents.Set and manage timelines and goals.Manage key metrics and report findings.Coordinate with Program Managers, Project Administrators, Project Estimators, Specification Writers, Sales Representatives, and RBM.Review submitted proposals and conduct contractor interviews for compliance.Review line‑item generated proposal documents.Direct Project Superintendents as needed.CompetenciesAdaptable and willing to change with business necessity.Professional and lead by example.Diversity awareness and ability to adjust to multiple personalities.Planning and organizational skills: juggle multiple priorities and demonstrate good task management.Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationships.Technical knowledge of all WTI products and services.Understanding of Construction Management tasks.Superior written, oral, and digital communication skills.Ability to create performance reporting.24‑hour response to all inquiries.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other required software.Specification Development StageWork with the Construction Manager and Sales Representative to establish a scope of work.Complete specification requests and related documents.Review specifications as required by the Construction Manager.Pre‑Proposal StageConduct pre‑proposal meetings and distribute completed documentation.Assist the Construction Manager in reviewing proposals.Prepare proposal documents as directed.Pre‑Construction StagePublish the project schedule.Assist in planning and coordinating pre‑construction meetings.Engage with the Project Superintendent to provide necessary information.Conduct pre‑construction meetings and distribute documentation.Obtain building permits when required.Construction StageReview daily inspection forms and ensure they are distributed and uploaded.Visit job sites as necessary or directed.Conduct weekly progress meetings and distribute minutes.Maintain and update the project schedule weekly.Perform site audits as appropriate.Review subcontractor payment requests with the Construction Manager.Assemble AIA billing applications for review and approval.Assist the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, subcontractor, owner, or sales representative as needed.Close‑Out StageAssist the Construction Manager in coordinating the final inspection.Ensure all required documents are uploaded into the project files.Other RequirementsAbility to travel out of town, including overnight travel.Must have transportation and a valid driver’s license.Ability to work weekends and/or holidays if needed.Ability to pass pre‑employment drug test.Ability to read, write, and speak English.Open to relocation after completion of the program.The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $52,000 and $55,000.
