The College of Education at the American University in the Emirates invites Masters holder applicants for faculty teaching in one or more of the below Specializations:AnthropologyInstruction Language:English & ArabicTeaching Load:6 credit hours per semesterJob purposeResponsible to provide students with professional expertise in teaching assessing student work academic advising participating in administrative and committee activities professional service and community service.Qualifications & EducationMasters degree in the related field from an accredited university in the United States of America or a recognized University accredited by an American Accreditation body18 credit hours of graduate studies in the required fieldEquivalency from Ministry of Education in UAEMinimum one research publication in Scopus journalsA minimum of three (3) articles indexed in Scopus listed journals or five (5) articles in peer-reviewed journals in the past five yearsWES Equivalency if the degree was not issued from United StatesExperienceApplicants must have a minimum of 2 years of teaching /working experience inan internationally accredited university.Proven record of excellence at baccalaureate and graduate program level teachingThe candidate must have either higher Education or Teaching experience in an accredited university in the United States of America.Skills / Training / KnowledgeCurricular development and review.Record of professional accomplishment including peer-reviewed publicationsContinued research program and interest in collaboration with another faculty.Ability to integrate web-based and/or digital technology in the classroom.Willingness to provide service to the University and the College.Excellent English Proficiency and Communication skills for Faculty teaching in EnglishJob Description1. Instructional ManagementEffectively manage the instructional processes3. Assessment and EvaluationEvaluating students performance and gradingProvide clear assessment criteria that reflects course content and its learning outcomesSet expectations to students and avoid cognitive biasness4. Curriculum Development and ReviewContribute to regular curriculum reviewing and improving the existing curriculum for quality and effectivenessA) For quality:Currency and relevancy of the theories and practice in the fieldIntellectual rigor appropriate to the level of the degree programB) For EffectivenessIncreasingly complex presentation of theories principles and practiceIncreasingly complex levels of analysis and development of competenciesApplication of theories and principles.5.
