Job Description

ROW Supply Chain Analytics team is looking for an innovative, hands‑on and customer‑obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer. Candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent technical skills, and should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once.The BIE will bring innovation, a strategic perspective, a passionate voice, and an ability to prioritize and execute on a fast‑moving set of priorities, competitive pressures, and operational initiatives. You will partner closely with program, product and technology teams to define and build innovative and delightful experiences for customers. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and have the ability to break complex problems down into steps that drive product development at Amazon speed.Key job responsibilitiesConverting data into digestible business intelligence and actionable informationWriting high quality SQL codes to retrieve and analyze dataWorking with large data sets, automate data extraction, and build monitoring/reporting dashboardInteracting with internal stakeholders to deep‑dive outlier eventsAnalyze and solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward‑looking opportunitiesCommunicating complex analysis and insights to our stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writingEnable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable formatShould be open to learn and develop skillsets in the latest technologies and analytical techniquesQualificationsBachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experienceExperience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modelingExperience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelinesExperience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar toolsExperience with forecasting and statistical analysisExperience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and RedshiftExperience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large‑scale, complex datasetsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
