ROW Supply Chain Analytics team is looking for an innovative hands‑on and customer‑obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer. Candidate must be detail oriented with superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent technical skills and should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once.The BIE will bring innovation, a strategic perspective, a passionate voice and an ability to prioritize and execute on a fast‑moving set of priorities, competitive pressures and operational initiatives. You will partner closely with program, product and technology teams to define and build innovative and delightful experiences for customers. You must be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization and have the ability to break complex problems down into steps that drive product development at Amazon speed.Key Job ResponsibilitiesConvert data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information.Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data.Automate data extraction and build monitoring/reporting dashboards with large data sets.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deep‑dive outlier events and solve business problems with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward‑looking opportunities.Provide complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders both verbally and in writing.Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.Be open to learn and develop skillsets in the latest technologies and analytical techniques.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field.5 years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience in Python to process data for modeling.Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight or similar tools.Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis.Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3 and Redshift.Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large‑scale complex datasets.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
