Assistant/Associate/Professor in Biostatistics

<div><h3>Job Description</h3><p>The Institute of Public Health (IPH) at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), UAE University, is seeking a full-time faculty member to contribute to teaching, research, and consultancy activities in Biostatistics. The candidate will teach biostatistics to undergraduate and graduate medical students, conduct advanced statistical research, supervise PhD students, participate in curriculum development, and lead research projects relevant to community health in the UAE. The role includes collaboration within CMHS, across UAEU colleges, and with local and regional institutions, as well as administrative duties such as serving on committees, coordinating courses, invigilating exams, and student assessments.</p><h3>Minimum Qualification</h3><ul><li>PhD degree in Biostatistics or equivalent.</li><li>Demonstrated university-level teaching experience in biostatistics or related courses.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualification</h3><ul><li>PhD in Biostatistics with expertise in advanced biostatistical methods, deep learning, machine learning, and longitudinal models.</li><li>Strong record of research publications in peer‑reviewed journals.</li></ul><h3>Expected Skills</h3><ul><li>Minimum five years of teaching and research experience.</li><li>Experience in statistical consultancy and supervising research projects or advising PhD students.</li><li>Track record of research grant acquisition.</li><li>Excellent publications in high‑ranked peer‑reviewed journals, including statistical journals.</li><li>Proficiency in R, SPSS, and Stata, with good understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts.</li><li>Additional training or experience in epidemiology with practical experience in public health or community medicine is an advantage.</li><li>Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate awareness of cultural, privacy, and confidentiality issues.</li><li>Good interpersonal and team‑working skills, and flexibility with working hours.</li></ul><h3>Closing Date</h3><p>31/05/2026</p></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
