OverviewArabic Teaching Assistant Role ProfilePurpose of RoleThe purpose of the role of Arabic Teaching Assistant is to provide support to the students and the class teachers of the school inside and outside of the classroom. We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement.Arabic Teaching Assistant Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements and duties:Contributes appropriately with lesson planning and assessment processes including the organization and management of books/files for individual children.Prepares materials or equipment for class lessons group work or for individual children.Leads & assists groups of children or individuals with their tasks.Reads stories to groups of children.Prepares any ICT equipment (for example: computers iPad digital camera DVD Bee Bot etc..)Accompanies children on visits.Comforts young distressed and vulnerable children in accordance with safeguarding procedures.Prepares Art and Craft materials and/or tidy them away.Mounts and displays childrens work appropriately.Supervises children using the cloakroom (toilet)/playtimes/start time and home times especially at transition times.Labels and stores equipment appropriately.Laminates and/or photocopy materials/resources.Take part on a daily basis in the Rota which provides supervision in the playground at playtimes and supervise at transition times especially at start time and home timeMaintains confidentiality about personal details revealed by the childrenReports incidents to Teacher and or Head of Arabic & Islamic in accordance with the Safeguarding PolicyMaintains and promotes the Schools professional reputation.Health and SafetyEmphasizes the importance of safety in all areas of the curriculum communicating to the pupils the importance of a responsible attitude towards personal safety the safety of others and respect for Aspen Heights British Schools property and equipmentPerform all playground duties on time and with due diligence to safeguard Aspen studentsTake all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilitiesAssist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conductEnsure that all the necessary health and safety rules and procedures are being followedMaintain an awareness of all the health and safety measures to be taken when in schoolSkills Qualifications and ExperienceGraduate2 years of school experience as Teaching AssistantNative Arabic Speaker.CompetenciesGood oral and written communication skillsWilling attitude to be a part of the school teamStrong sense of professionalismSafeguarding and welfare of childrenExcellent communication skills and command of the English language in spoken and written formA collaborative teamplayer with excellent interpersonal skillsBehavior managementAttributesEmpathetic listenerIntegrity and confidentialityInternationally mindedEmotional intelligenceIntercultural awareness creativeFlexible and a cando attitudeISP Commitment to Safeguarding PrinciplesISP is committed to safeguarding and pr
