Job descriptionWearecurrentlyseekinganArabicLinguistwithaminimum2yearsofexperienceinmarketingandcreativecontentto joinourDubaiofficeatTransPerfect.Linguists prioritize linguistic tasks for various clients and departments depending on Production needs and in accordance with their subject matter expertise. Their linguistic skills are certified as part of the hiring process.A Linguist can handle all types of common jobs within their vertical- e.g. machine translation post-editing translation proofreading tracked changes etc. and is responsible for maintaining language assets and training other linguistsProven ability to adapt language for marketing and creative contentMaintain and update language assets (TMs glossaries style guides) relevant to marketing retail and travel contentEnsure all content reflects appropriate brand tone and market-specific nuances for Arabic-speaking audiencesCollaborate closely with project teams and client-facing stakeholders to address linguistic or cultural queriesUnderstand TransPerfects quality standards and ensures they are upheld to meet client expectationsEasily navigate among company resources including but not limited to Confluence Launchpad technologyetc.Fully proficient in data analytics related to their personal linguistic performanceManage their schedule fully and independently and escalate concerns to their manager effectively and in atimely mannerHandle training/LQRs of 2-4 linguists annuallyRepresent TransPerfect externally (in client meetings/calls with freelancers at conferences while volunteeringon social media etc.)Perform all linguistic tasks according to project specifications including but not limited to project instructionsreference materials language assets (translation memory glossary style guide etc.)Seamlessly communicate challenges and solutions to project-level stakeholders across production teamsTake part in calls and meetings with production sales and clients as neededFollow internal and client processes on all projectsParticipate in the training of new team members when neededWork under moderate supervision of the Team LeadAchieve/surpass quality and efficiency targets as set by manager/supervisorComplete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisorJob requirementsREQUIRED SKILLSStrong cultural knowledge of the GCC and wider MENA regionProven ability to adapt language for marketing and creative contentFully knowledgeable and graduated all trainings required for Linguists including but not limited to their subject matter certification Linguistic Quality Reviews (LQRs) tech tools TPT production processes and Quality Assurance processesBe flexible with changes of priorities and adaptive to a fast-paced work environment including being open toalign with Production and team needs and urgencies Be solutions-orientedExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English in addition to Arabic Cultural knowledge in both Arabic and English Flexibility and adaptability to the different assignments and tasks using the relevant skills and tools in each case (accuracy creativity fluency etc.)Ability to effectively multitask in order to simultaneously execute multiple projectsOrganizational skills ability to prioritize results-oriented self-motivatedAbility to maintain professionalism and focus under pressure and tight deadlinesAdvanced problem solving/critical thinking skillsAbility to work independentlyREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Bachelors degree or its equivalent and/or translation certificateMinimum 2 years translation or linguistic experience preferably in marketing retail or travel content.Must have successfully passed the Internal Linguistic testing in line with TransPerfects TLC programDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCECAT tool competency MS Office intermediate proficiencyOn-siteDubai Dubai United Arab EmiratesQMFull-time PermanentAll done!Your application has been successfully submitted!Other jobs Key Skills Anti Money Laundering,Accounts Handling,Account Development,Account Management,Customer Support,Corporate Marketing Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
