<div><p><b>Job title:</b>Applications Engineer – PRESTO (Metrology Automation)</p><p><b>Req ID:</b>2691</p><p><b>Location:</b>Saudi Arabia, ideally Jeddah</p><p><b>Travel:</b>Frequent travel across GCC + occasional worldwide travel</p><p><b>Short description:</b></p><p>Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a proactive, autonomous, and technically skilled Applications Engineer to support the deployment and customer adoption of PRESTO, our fully automated robotic solution for 3D metrology and dimensional inspection.</p><p>This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing position involving metrology, robotics, automated systems, and advanced software tools. Most work will take place on customer sites across the GCC, with occasional international travel depending on project needs.</p><h3>Tasks in detail</h3><h3>Demonstrations&Technical Engagement</h3><ul><li>Deliver engaging on‑site and virtual demonstrations of PRESTO.</li><li>Prepare and execute PoCs tailored to customer workflows and requirements.</li><li>Support the sales team by providing technical insight during opportunity development.</li></ul><h3>System Deployment&Configuration</h3><ul><li>Install, configure, and validate PRESTO robotic metrology cells.</li><li>Develop automated inspection routines and optimize system performance.</li><li>Integrate PRESTO with metrology tools (e.g., PC‑DMIS) and customer‑specific systems.</li></ul><h3>Customer Training&Support</h3><ul><li>Conduct structured user training sessions covering system operation, best practices, and workflow optimization.</li><li>Provide on‑site and remote support, troubleshooting, and application expertise.</li><li>Ensure strong customer satisfaction and long‑term technical engagement.</li></ul><h3>Measurement Services&Documentation</h3><ul><li>Perform dimensional analyses, correlation studies, GR&R, and reporting.</li><li>Produce clear technical documentation and reference material.</li></ul><h3>Internal Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Communicate field insights to engineering, R&D, and product teams.</li><li>Participate in internal documentation and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, or related engineering fields.</li><li>2+ years experience in metrology, robotics, or industrial automation.</li><li>Strong understanding of 3D measurement, GD&T, and CMM principles.</li><li>Experience with metrology software (PC‑DMIS, Inspire, PolyWorks, Spatial Analyzer) is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of automated systems or robotics is highly valued (not mandatory).</li><li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Fluent English and Arabic (spoken and written).</li><li>Proactive, self‑driven, and comfortable working independently.</li><li>Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.</li><li>High availability for travel within GCC + occasional global travel.</li></ul><h3>What we offer</h3><ul><li>Flexible working conditions supporting work‑life balance.</li><li>Continuous training and development programs in metrology, automation, robotics, and Hexagon technologies.</li><li>Opportunities for career advancement in a global multinational environment.</li><li>Exposure to cutting‑edge automated metrology systems and high‑impact industrial projects.</li><li>A collaborative workplace where autonomy, initiative, and innovation are appreciated.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
