Accountant

Zahr Freighters is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a finance professional who can manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the company’s financial operations within a fast-paced freight and logistics environment.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records and manage general ledger accounts.Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Reconcile bank statements and monitor company cash flow.Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and handle tax filings.Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and financial reports.Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.Monitor expenses and assist in budgeting and financial planning.Coordinate with other departments for financial data and reporting.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in logistics or freight companies.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.Ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.Skills & Competencies:Strong understanding of financial reporting and complianceHigh level of integrity and confidentialityTime management and multitasking skillsEffective communication and coordination abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAt Zahr Freighters, financial accuracy and compliance are essential to supporting our operations.
