<div><h3>Description</h3><p>The Site WHS Officer will be responsible for partnering with a site operations team in a delivery station to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations. By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for our Associates. A successful Site WHS Officer will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.</p><p>The Site WHS Officer must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise, and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You will instruct and train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies and assist operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards. You will work to identify best practices and incorporate standard methodologies to continuously improve the safety landscape. The site WHS officer will possess excellent safety program knowledge as well as environmental and ergonomic knowledge and demonstrate this expertise when working with Operations.</p><p>The Site WHS officer will be part of the site WHS team, reporting to the site WHS manager. The WHS officer should be flexible to work in shifts, possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company policy.</p><h3>Key Job Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable Amazon WHS standards/policies.</li><li>Measure site performance against published safety policy requirements, identify corrective plans, and ensure implementation.</li><li>Deliver on‑time and quality projects to Operations.</li><li>Analyze safety metrics and review incident trends weekly and monthly to allocate resources effectively.</li><li>Ensure proper incident investigation and closure of corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Perform frequent site safety audits to identify non‑compliance equipment and processes.</li><li>Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury.</li><li>Audit record‑keeping practices to align with global WHS standards and local regulations.</li><li>Audit workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure accurate training, auditing, and scoring.</li><li>Lead and mentor Safety Associates during peak periods.</li><li>Engage with Safety teams, Associates, and leaders for program improvement opportunities and maintain open communication on progress.</li><li>Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of responsibilities under each policy; audit training effectiveness.</li><li>Maintain PPE inventory and coordinate procurement ordering.</li><li>Ensure site PPE compliance.</li><li>Implement the best practices at site.</li><li>Implement PIT (powered industrial truck) safety and yard safety systems.</li><li>Ensure standard Work Permit System usage at site.</li><li>Ensure safe contractor management at site.</li><li>Maintain basic safety training calendar for associates and impart trainings as per the calendar.</li><li>Collaborate with facility team to ensure preventive maintenance of all fire protection and emergency equipment.</li><li>Ensure basic fire‑fighting and first aid training requirements are met.</li></ul><h3>Basic Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Speak, write and read fluently in English.</li><li>Work all days and shifts, including overtime (24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation, including holidays).</li><li>Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>3+ years of experience implementing safety standards.</li><li>Experience with OSHA regulations.</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering.</li><li>NEBOSH IGC.</li><li>LOTO.</li><li>MSRA.</li><li>PTW.</li></ul><p>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
