<div><h3>Whole School PE Teacher – Outdoor and Adventurous Activities Lead</h3><p>The Arbor School seeks a special individual for an exciting opportunity that has arisen within our school. The successful candidate will play a key role in fulfilling the school’s ecological and sustainability vision, while challenging students to fulfil their potential across academic disciplines.</p><p>This role combines high‑quality Physical Education teaching across the whole school (KS1–KS4) with a specialism in Outdoor and Adventurous Activities (OAA).</p><p>We are looking for an experienced Whole School PE Teacher – Outdoor and Adventurous Activities Lead with a passion for the subject and broad subject knowledge. The successful applicant will be able to teach students of all abilities and will have a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes in both physical and academic development.</p><p>To ensure continued development of our sports programme, we are looking to recruit a candidate with expertise in athletics, netball and cheerleading.</p><h3>Arbor Promise</h3><p>Arbor teachers are part of a community that is inclusive, fun‑loving and active. Arbor teachers bring their passions and interests to enrich the school, meet agreed deadlines, communicate proactively with a positive intent and share a passion to provide an education of the highest quality to our students.</p><h3>Core Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Teach Physical Education across KS1–KS4, ensuring outstanding student outcomes in physical and academic development.</li><li>Lead Outdoor Education and Outdoor and Adventurous Activities, supporting the Duke of Edinburgh International Award.</li><li>Co‑coach Primary and Secondary squads, support fixtures and competitions, and grow participation and performance across the school community.</li><li>Deliver an extracurricular programme that enriches learning, fostering resilience, teamwork and a deep connection to the natural world.</li></ul><h3>Learning Outcomes</h3><ul><li>Develop students’ understanding of sustainability, individual and collective well‑being, and environmental and social justice.</li><li>Encourage purpose, meaning and joy in interactions with the natural world and others.</li><li>Foster a sense of accomplishment and self‑efficacy through actions at home, in school and in the wider world.</li></ul><h3>Required Candidate Profile</h3><ul><li>Native‑level English language skills.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum three years of experience teaching physical education in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.</li><li>Track record of outstanding teaching and learning with the ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment.</li></ul><h3>Remuneration</h3><p>A competitive tax‑free compensation package will be provided in accordance with the School's policy and UAE labour law regulations.</p><h3>Application</h3><p>To apply, please complete the application on TES and upload an up‑to‑date CV with a recent photograph, and a letter of application no longer than two pages outlining your educational philosophy and suitability for the Arbor School.</p><h3>Safeguarding</h3><p>The Arbor School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students in our care and expects all applicants to share this commitment.
