Wet Utilities Section Manager

<div><h3>Job Purpose</h3><p>To manage the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the department’s strategic goals.</p><h3>Key Accountabilities&Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems to ensure uninterrupted and efficient service.</li><li>Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all wet utilities' infrastructure.</li><li>Lead, supervise, and support technical staff and field teams to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards</li><li>Monitor budgets, optimize resource usage, and ensure cost-effective operations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety requirements.</li><li>Coordinate and manage responses to emergencies, breakdowns, or service disruptions.</li><li>Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and service levels.</li><li>Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and external government bodies for coordination and approvals.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications&Experience</h3><ul><li>Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering</li><li>Experiences: 10 years and Preferred 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role</li><li>Certifications: Preferred PMP, NEBOSH, or certifications related to water utility management or health and safety.</li></ul><h3>Behavioural Competencies</h3><ul><li>Results Orientation and Excellence in Performance</li><li>Active Communication</li><li>Creativity and Innovation</li><li>Customer Focus</li><li>Team Spirit and Cooperation</li><li>Organizational and Ethical Awareness</li></ul><h3>Special Requirements</h3><ul><li>Must have experience in pressured plus gravity projects</li><li>Gulf/UAE experience preferred</li><li>Strong design background + review/coordination</li><li>Strong English / Arabic is a strong advantage</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
