Welding QC Inspector

Job Title: Welding QC InspectorLocation: Dubai, UAEJob SummaryA Welding QC Inspector is responsible for monitoring and ensuring welding activities comply with approved procedures, quality standards, and project specifications. The role involves inspection, documentation, coordination with production teams, and ensuring compliance with international welding codes and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect welding activities to ensure compliance with approved WPS, drawings, and standards.Verify welder qualifications, welding consumables, and material traceability.Conduct visual inspections before, during, and after welding operations.Review fit-up, joint preparation, alignment, and welding parameters.Coordinate NDT testing such as RT, UT, PT, MT, and review reports.Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.Identify defects, non-conformities, and initiate corrective actions.Liaise with production, engineering, and client representatives for inspections.Participate in quality audits, toolbox talks, and safety compliance activities.Essential QualificationsDiploma or Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Welding Engineering or related field.Valid welding inspection certification (CSWIP / AWS-CWI / BGAS or equivalent preferred).Minimum 3–7 years of relevant experience in welding inspection.Experience in oil & gas, construction, fabrication, or heavy engineering projects preferred.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW).Familiarity with international codes such as ASME, AWS, API, ISO.Ability to read technical drawings, P&ID, and welding symbols.Good understanding of NDT methods and acceptance criteria.Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.Communication skills to coordinate with teams and clients.Basic computer skills for report preparation and documentation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
