The Welder will be responsible for joining metal components together using manual and automated welding equipment. The Welder will be required to perform a variety of welding processes including MIG, TIG, stick welding, and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). This position is open to both local and foreign candidates.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to understand the welds that must be performedSet up, assemble, and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipmentSelect appropriate filler rods or wires based on the metals being welded togetherFollow safety protocols at all times when working with hazardous materials such as gases and electricityInspect welds for accuracy using a variety of tools such as measuring tapes, gauges, calipers, etc.Repair any faulty welds by grinding down the area and re-welding itMaintain a clean work area by removing all debris on a daily basisQualifications & SkillsMinimum 5 years of experience in welding with both manual and automated equipmentAbility to read blueprints or technical drawings accuratelyWorking knowledge of safety protocols when operating hazardous materials such as gases and electricityFamiliarity with various types of welding processes including MIG, TIG, stick welding, etc.Attention to detail with excellent problem solving skillsAbility to lift heavy objects safely#J-18808-Ljbffr
