Waste Management Training&Safety Specialist

<p>The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance employee performance, safety awareness, and operational efficiency within the waste management and environmental services operations.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Identify training needs across operational, technical, and support functions through assessments and stakeholder engagement</li><li>Design and implement training programs related to:</li><li>Waste management processes and best practices</li><li>Environmental compliance and regulations</li><li>Health, Safety&Environment (HSE) standards</li><li>Equipment handling and operational procedures</li><li>Conduct onboarding and induction programs for new employees</li><li>Deliver classroom, on-site, and virtual training sessions</li><li>Develop training materials, manuals, SOPs, and e-learning content</li><li>Ensure all training aligns with local environmental regulations and company policies</li><li>Track and maintain training records, certifications, and compliance requirements</li><li>Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics</li><li>Coordinate with internal departments and external training providers when required</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety and sustainability</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications&Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health&Safety, Engineering, HR, or a related field</li><li>3–6 years of experience in training and development, preferably within:</li><li>Environmental services</li><li>Facilities management</li><li>Industrial or operational environments</li><li>Strong knowledge of HSE standards and environmental regulations</li><li>Experience in delivering technical and safety training programs</li><li>Certifications such as Train the Trainer, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are a plus</li><li>Excellent presentation and communication skills</li><li>Ability to work in field environments and interact with operational teams</li><li>Knowledge of environmental and safety standards</li><li>Communication&interpersonal skills</li><li>Organizational and reporting skills</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working with blue-collar workforce training</li><li>Familiarity with waste collection, recycling, hazardous waste handling, or environmental compliance</li><li>Experience in the UAE or GCC market is an advantage</li></ul>#J-18808-Ljbffr
