Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor plans and monitors the operations of a warehouse and all facets including receiving, processing, recording and distributing goods; preparing and maintaining detailed records and files. He is responsible for the completion of inventory cycle counts and accuracy, back order filling, as well as the movement of goods into and out of the warehouse.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManage, oversee, supervise and participate in warehouse operations.Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers.Manage and delegate the daily warehousing operations including receiving & storage of goods, dispatching goods to POS, performance…etcHandle administration and general management issues, which will include the day-to-day supervision of staffKeeping stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirementsMaximize best use of storage facilities i.e. racking, floor space, external storage…etcMaintains space for and stores non salable itemsLiaise with Stock Control and Purchasing to ensure all paperwork (good in and picking notes ) are ready for processing at agreed times.Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basisRegularly communicate with all departments to ensure quality and delivery standards are upheld.Ensure the transfer of goods from warehouses to other locations as requestedForward planning for peak periods to ensure the warehouse and staff are ready to ensure fast, effective turnaround of all ordersTo monitor packaging stock levels and reorder as needed from approved suppliers to ensure daily requirements are met as well as planning for peak periodsEnsure warehouses are maintained in a clean and orderly fashionPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust have strong management skillsGood organizational skillsTime Management SkillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeEducation & ExperienceUndergraduate OR Bachelor's degree in Logistics /Business AdministrationWork Experience of three to five years in a similar role with a reputed logistics or retail organization.#J-18808-Ljbffr
