Job Description Role Overview:
You will be responsible for managing warehouse and road transport operations across India and the MEA region to ensure seamless execution, scalability, efficiency, and compliance. Your role will involve driving cost optimization, innovation, agility, and competitiveness while leading logistics operations. You will lead projects, monitor KPIs, implement corrective actions, and standardize SOPs to achieve operational excellence. Your focus will be on fostering continuous improvement, strategic execution, and collaboration with key stakeholders from various departments like finance, HSE, supply chain, plant operations, global logistics, legal, and HR. You are expected to be a proactive, execution-focused leader with expertise in logistics, process improvement, and supply chain efficiency at both regional and global levels. Safety, productivity, and compliance with international and regional regulations will be key aspects of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple warehouses (both implant and external) across India and MEA, overseeing various third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Ensure seamless execution of inventory control, inbound/outbound shipments, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
- Optimize storage efficiency and throughput for warehouse operations to enhance capacity and scalability.
- Maintain regular engagement with regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment with best practices.
- Collaborate with global logistics teams to benchmark performance, enhance agility, and implement process improvements.
- Drive innovation in road transport operations by leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
- Foster strong partnerships with transport providers to ensure service excellence, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement dynamic transport strategies to optimize routing, reduce environmental impact, and adapt to evolving market conditions.
- Manage logistics expenditure efficiently, implement cost-saving measures, and negotiate competitive contracts and SLAs with vendors.
- Anticipate supply chain disruptions, warehouse inefficiencies, and logistics risks to implement contingency plans and lead swift response efforts.
- Ensure full adherence to customs regulations, safety standards, compliance measures, and develop SOPs to standardize warehouse operations.
- Manage warehouse and transport teams across regions, drive logistics improvement projects, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Any supply chain related certification or degree is preferred.
- 10 years of managerial experience in warehouse and transportation operations, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Expertise in logistics and 3PL management, strong knowledge of domestic transport regulations, and documentation requirements.
- Strong leadership, people management, project management, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
- Global perspective with experience managing operations across diverse cultures, team player, influential leader, focused on continuous productivity, innovation, competitiveness, agility, and expertise in change management. Role Overview:
