Job Description

The purpose of the role is smooth operations of the warehouse related to materials and spare parts receiving, stocking, processing, distributing materials and cycle count to facilitate a safe, uninterrupted, efficient, and cost.Key AccountabilitiesOther duties may be assigned.Performs loading, unloading and arranging of warehouse cargo and items.Performs moving of warehouse cargo and items.Complies with height, weight, and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets according to storage plans.Identifies operational shortfall, maintenance, or repair needs. Maintains the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner.Tags, assembles, stocks, and bins all items at assigned locations to ensure they are properly and safely stored and can be easily identified and pulled.Reports warehousing issues in a timely manner.Performs activities to improve quality of logistics services.Performs cargo or material-handling security procedures.Takes periodic inventories. Checks the material description, quantity, physical condition, expiry date and the safety and storage conditions of stock.Supports the department in incident or crisis management initiatives.Assists in application of methods and techniques to manage time- and temperature-sensitive cargo.Performs cargo consolidation activities.Assists in application of methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods.Receives, inspects, and stores all warehouse stock. Records materials movement transactions in SAP on time.Performs all delivery activities, including use of forklifts and delivery trucks.Checks off-work hours material issue system and posts Goods issue in SAP immediately without fail.Performs call‑out duties outside the normal working hours to issue material needed by end-users in emergency circumstances after the regular working hours.Delivers materials to JAMAA and PMCC Companies.Prepares Gate pass and Visitor pass for vendors to give entry to S‑Chem to deliver materials. Escorts trucks to Plant sites.Works with Inventory to maintain material data identified during physical handling of materials, like batch management.Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.Performs any other relevant task as directed by lead/supervisor – warehouse operations.Qualifications & Experience RequirementsAcademic qualification: minimum of High School.+6 years of related experience.Related SkillsGood communication skills, good inter-personal skills, continuous learning capability, computer literacy, approachable personality, patience, respect for people.Must have exposure to ERP System – SAP or related.#J-18808-Ljbffr
