VP, Head of Visa Government Solutions, CEMEAVisa Government Solutions (VGS) is part of the Commercial Money Movement organization within Visa.We partner with governments worldwide as they pursue ambitious national and regional transformation agendas that directly impact how people live, work, and interact with public services. Our solutions span a broad range of use cases, including government disbursements, SME digitisation, government payments, citizens paying governments, urban mobility, tourism insights, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).Through VGS, Visa is developing differentiated propositions to support large‑scale government digitisation programs and enable more inclusive, digital economies across the world.Key RelationshipsThis is a senior, influencing leadership role requiring the successful candidate to build momentum and drive VGS growth across the CEMEA region. Key relationships include:Business development and sales resources across priority CEMEA marketsCountry Managers (CMs) and Group Country Managers (GCMs)Global Head of VGS Product and SolutionsGlobal Head of VGS Sales Enablement and Operations, and Head of VGS StrategyResponsibilitiesOwn the growth, profitability, performance, and overall operation of one of Visa’s newest and most strategic client verticalsDefine and execute the regional vision and strategy for Visa Government Solutions, providing leadership and focus to deliver measurable resultsBuild and maintain strategic relationships with the most senior client executives and key government decision makersDesign and implement innovative, scalable solutions aligned to client strategic prioritiesBuild and strengthen team capabilities across sales, product development, project management, business development, marketing, and operationsOptimise the deployment and return on all resources supporting the client, including sales, product, marketing, technology, and operationsLead the development of payments strategies in close partnership with internal Visa stakeholders and client executive teamsTake hands‑on leadership in launching new products and services, and in expanding the penetration of existing capabilities, ensuring Visa solutions deliver clear client value and strong adoptionProvide vision and foresight that informs product and service definition ahead of explicit client demandIdentify opportunities for shared vision and digital partnerships that enhance client and citizen experiencesEstablish, lead, and develop a high‑performing account team, operating as a cohesive unit to pursue short‑ and long‑term opportunitiesEngage senior Visa leadership in strategic, executive‑level discussions with key client stakeholdersContinuously monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to enable proactive strategy development and executionExtensive senior level experience in sales, consultative selling, and leadership within the payments industry and/or selling into government or public sector clientsProven ability to develop and execute strategic solutions across product, business development, marketing, and technology to drive revenue growthDemonstrated success implementing strategy and operational decisions within complex, matrixed organisationsStrong track record of planning, managing, and closing complex, competitive, multi stakeholder engagementsDeep knowledge of payment products, banking, and payments industry trendsConsistent success in building, leading, and motivating high performing teamsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at executive and C suite levelsStrong financial acumen, with experience managing risk, making data driven decisions, and delivering against challenging commercial targetsAbility to operate effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven, globally matrixed environmentStrong commercial judgment and executive presence, enabling the development of deep, trusted client relationshipsProven negotiation expertise in managing complexity and aligning diverse stakeholder interestsHighly collaborative leadership style, with the ability to partner effectively across Visa and with external clientsDemonstrated ability to drive innovation, lead change, and deliver results in top tier organisationsSuperior influencing skills and the ability to work across organisational and geographic boundariesUnderstanding of political, governmental, and regulatory environments across the CEMEA region is highly desirableVisa is an EEO Employer.
