Vice President of Engineering - Salesforce Platform

Job Description You will be responsible for leading and scaling Asymbl's engineering organization in India while focusing on building the necessary systems, processes, and technical capabilities to support company objectives. Your role will involve providing strategic and technical leadership across the engineering function to ensure alignment between engineering priorities and product and business goals. Additionally, you will partner closely with Product management to ensure clear prioritization, cohesive roadmap planning, and alignment between product strategy and technical execution. - Lead and scale Asymbl's engineering organization in India, establishing the required systems and capabilities. - Provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure alignment between engineering priorities and business objectives. - Collaborate with Product management to align product strategy with technical execution. - Partner with the Services organization to ensure technical alignment, solution scalability, and consistent customer outcomes. - Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, QA, deployment, and optimization. - Implement engineering best practices through quality frameworks, coding standards, and modern development methodologies. - Serve as the technical escalation point for complex engineering challenges and architectural decisions. - Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team across various disciplines. - Monitor and optimize engineering performance and productivity using data-driven insights. - Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into the engineering strategy. - Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Establish strong communication and collaboration practices across global teams and stakeholders. You should possess the following qualifications: - 15+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 10 years in engineering leadership roles. - At least 5 years of direct experience in the Salesforce ecosystem with expertise across Salesforce cloud products and platform capabilities. - Salesforce Certified System Architect or Application Architect certification is strongly preferred. - Proven success in leading engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments. - Strong technical proficiency in Apex, API development, Lightning Web Components, and modern software development frameworks. - Deep experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery pipelines. - Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and integration patterns. - Demonstrated ability to lead through technical complexity and make balanced tradeoff decisions. - Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
