Vessel Supervisor

OverviewThe Vessel Supervisor is responsible for overseeing vessel operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant marine activities. The role involves coordinating with vessel crew, port authorities, and shore-based teams to ensure operational excellence, adherence to maritime regulations, and timely completion of assigned tasks.ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily vessel operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and deck activitiesEnsure compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL) and company policiesMonitor vessel safety standards and enforce safe working practices onboardCoordinate with captains, engineers, and crew for operational planning and executionLiaise with port authorities, clients, and offshore/onshore teams as requiredOversee maintenance activities and ensure vessels are seaworthy at all timesConduct inspections, audits, and toolbox talks onboard vesselsMonitor vessel schedules, fuel consumption, and operational performancePrepare operational reports, incident reports, and daily activity logsSupport crew management, including discipline, performance monitoring, and trainingRespond to emergencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptlyQualificationsDiploma / Technical Certificate in Marine, Mechanical, or related field (preferred)Minimum 3–7 years of experience in vessel or marine operationsPrior experience as a Deck Foreman, Bosun, or Senior Deckhand preferredValid STCW certification (Basic Safety, PPE, First Aid, Firefighting)#J-18808-Ljbffr
