Egis’ long history of providing comprehensive engineering, consulting, and project management services makes it a trusted partner for regional governments, investors, and developers.Job DescriptionDesign and develop underground structures, including cut and cover tunnels and stations, utilizing industry-standard engineering software and methodologiesConduct geotechnical investigations and structural analysis to ensure safety and feasibility of tunneling projectsPrepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for construction and stakeholder reviewOversee site supervision and quality assurance during tunnel construction and underground structure installationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure project objectives are metDevelop and implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standardsManage project timelines, budgets, and resources while maintaining quality standardsPerform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for underground construction challengesCommunicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authoritiesStay current with emerging technologies and best practices in tunneling and underground construction engineeringQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related engineering disciplineMinimum 5 years of professional experience in tunneling, underground construction, or related civil engineering projectsProficiency with industry-standard engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, PLAXIS, or equivalent)Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, structural analysis, and underground construction methodologiesExcellent technical writing and documentation skillsValid Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain licensurePreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Tunneling Engineering8+ years of experience specifically in tunnel design and underground structure projectsExperience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and advanced design softwareFamiliarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards (ASCE, OSHA, local jurisdictional requirements)Project management certification (PMP) or equivalentExperience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder communicationsKnowledge of emerging technologies and innovations in underground constructionStrong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with demonstrated risk assessment experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
